Raw Tomato Chutney

Make Raw Tomato chutney to add the perfect mixture of spicy and tangy and flavor to your meal.


  • Oil
  • Raw Tomato Cut into big chunks
  • Tamarind paste
  • Skinless Roasted peanuts
  • Green chillies
  • Garlic
  • Salt

For Tempering:

  • Oil
  • Mustard seeds
  • Urad Dal
  • Chana Dal
  • Curry leaves


  • Heat some oil and add tomatoes and green chillies until charred and golden.
  • Once cooked and cool, add it to the blending jar along with peanuts, garlic, tamarind paste and salt.
  • Blend the mixture to a thick, smooth paste.
  • Add water as and when required (the chutney should be as thick as shown in the picture to enjoy the flavor)

For tempering:

  • Heat some oil and add all the ingredients mentioned.
  • Switch off the heat once the dals are golden brown.
  • Pour it on the chutney. *Shelf Life – Refrigerate and store it in a air tight box for 4 days*
